What is an escape room and who can play?

Each game is designed for 2–12 players. While couples are welcome, games are much generally more challenging with only two players. For the best balance of puzzle flow and teamwork, we recommend groups of 4 or more. Families and larger groups (up to 12) are welcome.

Just click on the “Book Now” button, choose a day and time from the schedule here on our website then pay using your Apple Pay, debit or credit card. You will receive an email that confirms your booking. If you need any help, call (818) 912-6868.

We do not accept cash. There are no refunds

Yes, absolutely, especially if your team didn’t get that far the first time and would like to try again. Call to book a room to receive a discount for returning players.

Not at all. All the information you need to successfully complete our adventure is built into the experience.

Never. You will only be with the family and friends you came with.

Phones should be turned off so as not to break the mood. We don’t allow cameras, weapons, alcoholic beverages, food, drinks, flashlights (other than ones we provide), lighters, tools, smoking, or illegal substances in any of our adventures. This is for your safety and our insurance providers. Our adventure contains everything you need to solve the puzzles and have a great time!

There are lockers in the lobby where you can store your things.

Our adventures are medium to challenging depending on your experience and skill set. Our adventures are mainly designed to deliver fun and to enjoy the environment. However, if your team gets stuck, you can always ask for hints from the friendly Game Master.

The lighting may be subtle to achieve a mood, our games are more about the story, the atmosphere, and having fun with family and friends rather than delivering shocks or scares!

We do not allow children under age 11 to participate. Minors ages 6-10 are eligible to play Monkeyshines – our escape room made just for kids. We reserve the right to request an ID from customers who might be minors. A responsible ticketed adult is required in the room for all teens 17 and under.

*If minors are unable to hear us communicate with you in the game due to everyone talking all at once, the game master may be required to be present in the room for all communications which will add a Game Master In The Room fee of $25.00

If you have any questions, please call: 818-912-6868

Guests must arrive NO LATER THAN 15 MINUTES AHEAD of their scheduled booking time so that you can sign waivers, use the restroom, and for a briefing before your game.

Arrive after your booking time and the game may start without you or your time slot may be forfeited without a refund.

Traffic in Los Angeles can be very unpredictable so please allow extra time to arrive. An app such as Waze can be helpful in finding the quickest route to our location: (waze.com).

We are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Wednesday – Fridays 1pm to 10pm

Saturdays 11am to 1pm and Sundays 1pm to 10pm

The adventure is 60 minutes.

Including check-in, briefing, and debriefing, expect to spend about 75 to 90 minutes at our facility.

(Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your adventure for check-in and briefing.)

As many as you need . . . 🤔😜

You’ll be standing and walking, but our adventure doesn’t require any strenuous physical activity like climbing, moving heavy objects, crawling, or running.

We suggest you wear comfortable clothing and shoes (no high heels or open-toed shoes), and bring reading glasses if you need them for certain puzzles and clues. We also suggest you bring a sense of adventure!

No, we are not able to have food on the premises, but there are a number of restaurants nearby. You can get a list in our lobby if your team would like to chat over a delicious meal after your exciting adventure!

We respectfully request that each team member be courteous and helpful to each other and to our staff. You are a guest in our “house.”

If it’s determined that a member of your team is acting irresponsibly, irrationally, is inebriated, or under the influence of drugs, or poses a danger to themselves or others, they will be prevented from playing and/or asked to leave.

If something is not working and we need to come into the room to help you move forward in the game, your time will be frozen for a few minutes until the situation is handled.

If your actions damage a prop or puzzle that is unrepairable, you may be charged to replace it.

Follow the Team Code. Search for items that aren’t locked away. Communicate often with all the members of your team.

READ EVERYTHING! 🙂 It may provide you with information to help you solve a puzzle. If you find something, or figure out a clue or a puzzle, don’t keep it to yourself. Let everyone know. Nothing wastes more time or is more frustrating than a team member working on a puzzle that another member has already solved, or searching for an item that someone has already found and failed to mention.

It’s often helpful to take an inventory of items and solutions now and then so everyone can see the progress your team has made and so you can all work together to move forward.

However, success isn’t always just about completing the mission. Our environments are designed to allow players to feel like they’ve entered another time and place.

If you take your time and soak up the atmosphere, your experience will be that much more satisfying whether or not you complete the mission.

Please call us at (818) 912-6868 or email us at info@boggled.la.
We’ll be happy to answer any questions that we didn’t cover in the FAQ, to schedule an interview, or to discuss your special event. Official escape room reviewers with websites or an established presence on social media will receive comped tickets.

We look forward to booking a fun, mind-boggling adventure for your team of Explorers at Boggled!

You’ll be standing and walking a lot, but our adventure doesn’t require any strenuous physical activity like climbing, moving heavy objects, crawling, or running.

The rooms and spaces in our adventure are about the average size of rooms and hallways in a house or an office, although lighting is dimmer and more atmospheric. Claustrophobic participants who have played the room have had no problem.

However, if you are concerned, we suggest you call and talk to a staff member to get more specific information. We want all our players to feel comfortable and at ease in our adventure.

Our adventure is on the ground floor and our doors and hallways all comply with ADA regulations. Plus, there are ADA spaces in the parking lot. However, one room in the adventure is smaller than the others and it may be a bit of a challenge to navigate in a wheelchair. Please call for specifics.

There are several great restaurants, shops & services right across the 101 freeway from Boggled in the Calabasas Commons shopping center, on Old Calabasas Road, and in the Topanga Mall & Village Mall in the nearby neighborhood! Please ask any staff member for a list and directions.

We’re always looking for upbeat, creative people who love working in an exciting environment and who enjoy providing great customer service.

We prefer to have escape room experience (both as a player and/or a staff member), to be presentable, to be a “people person,” and demonstrate politeness, thoughtfulness, good communication, a positive attitude, and a ready smile.
